What is Carpeting?
Carpet is a term used to describe textile flooring consisting of an upper layer of pile attached to a backing. The look and feel of a carpet is based on the type of fibres that are used during its manufacture. The types of fibres used in carpeting are Nylon, Wool, Polyester and Polypropylene.
Carpeting comes in a variety of styles, the following are the most common Level loop pile, Chunky loop pile, Cut pile, Flatweave, Multi-level loop pile, Level cut loop pile. It is important to understand which one will suit your needs.
Carpets are one of the most popular flooring materials. Carpets are soft, warm, and comfortable, and can be relatively easy to maintain in both residential and commercial spaces.
There is nothing quite like carpet for a soft place to play, sit, and work. We have an extensive range of carpet choices from luxury to more budget friendly carpeting options.

THE ADVANTAGES OF CARPET FLOORING
WHY TO BUY FROM TLC FLOORING
Care
Most stains can be removed using plain tap water. To remove a stain, press a clean, dry white cloth over the stain to absorb the spill. Repeat until the spill is absorbed, then gently work water into the stain with a damp white towel and blot until the stain is gone.
Carpets need to be vacuumed once a week and more often in areas of heavy traffic. Frequent vacuuming prolongs the life of your carpet by preventing a build-up of gritty particles that can cut carpet fibres.
Finishing Profiles and Skirting
To complete your Carpet Flooring installation you will need finishing profiles and skirting, we have a wide variety of finishing profiles and skirting available to match your choice of Carpet Flooring.
Installation
When installing Carpet it is important to check your sub-floor and securely fasten any floorboards that may be loose so they won’t squeak under the new carpe It is not advisable to re-use old underlay.
